12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. $8/person (includes 1 free sunflower)

3 & under is FREE

Our Sunflower Festival is a special day to celebrate our beautiful sunflower fields.

Our sunflowers are harvested in the fall to use for bird seed, however, they are a sight to behold while they are blooming.  Oilseed sunflowers are not like ornamental sunflower varieties that bloom for 3 weeks or more.  Oilseed sunflowers bloom and begin to turn their heads to start drying their seed after only about 12 days.  This means that we have a limited window to enjoy them in.  This window is when we hold our Sunflower Festival; when they are the most beautiful.  Even if you can't make it to the festival on Saturday, we will remain open every day from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. for the remainder of the bloom (approximately August 2nd - August 7th - please check our Facebook page prior to coming out). Suggested offering for the non-festival days are $4 / person. 3 & under is free.  Feel free to bring in a picnic on the NON-FESTIVAL days.

From the joy these fields of sunflowers bring, came the desire to give back to our community.  We partnered with the Rio High School FFA because they are an organization we feel strongly about.  We are fifth generation farmers, who fully support the future of agriculture.  The pairing couldn't be more perfect.  We donate the profits that the farm takes in over the entire Sunflower Festival.  We know this would not have been possible without all of you that come to enjoy the sunflowers with us.

We are changing things up a bit this year!  Visitors will still park in the parking lot nearest the sunflower fields.  You will be able to walk through the sunflowers, pick them (for an additional cost), take pictures (for personal use) & just enjoy the view.  From there, hayride wagons will be operating all day to bring you up to our "Back 40" Play Yard area where we'll have concessions, live music, picnic tables in the shade, and local artisans selling their fantastic creations!

Please check back frequently for updates.  We can't wait to see you in August!

Disclaimer: if at any point our parking lot becomes full or the farm reaches maximum capacity of visitors, a message of closing will be posted on our website home page and our facebook page.  please find alternative activities and return to the farm when a message of reopening has been posted.  Parking along Mountford Road is strictly forbidden.

Pets are not allowed. Registered service animals are permitted.  Thank you.
